Parlance; the superpower in humans.

My own opinion is enough for me, and I claim the right to have it defended against any consensus, any majority, anywhere, any place, any time. And anyone who disagrees with this can pick a number, get in line, and kiss my ass.

Freedom of speech. A right and power in its own way. A right people these days are lucky to make full use of. Social media has helped countless many to propogate and inspire a whole generation who are growing up now. The millennials(as we like to refer to our generation in a cool way) began this trend. Many consider it a curse, but a few like us think otherwise. The right to speak and converse what one has in their minds is and will always be the special power each individual holds.

As we get deeper into understanding the gains in this freedom that our forefathers fought to acquire for us, there are a few things to keep in mind. Your voice can always be heard. Your voice do make a difference. No one can be told that they don’t have the right to speak unless you constantly utter nonsense. Neither can anyone ask you to shut up even when you utter nonsense. Above all, if you have a thought and it needs to be put into the world to ponder upon, remember this; share it far and loud because if anything has the power to bring change, it is free expression through speech. No matter what anyone would say against it, words can move mountains.
According to me, free thinkers all around the world must make use of the technology that prevails in our world at present. We, as a species, are almost close to settling in another planet and yet there are many who still stay outside the grid. Alone, frustrated with the system, governance, and countless other reasons, these nomads keep searching for happiness by supposedly finding their zen in the most farthest and inhabitable places. I don’t blame them, given a chance even I wouldn’t mind doing the same. But at the end I would stop and think; was this what I want? Absolutely not! I want my voice to be heard, to bring change in others’ lives, to move mountains, and sometimes bring a smile to countless number of faces. Do not end up being selfish and wanting  only what you think will bring joy to yourself. Athe end we should accept we are a social animal and we are here to change lives of many.

I am proud of what our generation are capable of. I am proud of experiencing and knowing countless many who are doing their roles to bring about change to even the smallest extent. People can do great things if they talk right. We are superior not because we have the brains to build marvels, but because we have the ability to express our thoughts to one another through speech. If you ever find yourself in the midst of scrutiny as a result of someone else’s misdeed, rectify it by saying the right things. Trust me, things are way easier if you just speak it out.

It is never easy to think loudly. It is never easy to say the right things. This is why it is always right to speak with clarity. Use the right words which are apt in any context. Once it comes out of your mouth, know this; it is out in the open. One has to be responsible of what they believe in and what they speak. If you are arguing, don’t hurt the other person, calm them. If you have to propose, make your loved one see why he/she deserves you. If you feel the need to hurt someone, speak the truth and make them regret what they have done(but cut some slack if you may). If you ever have the chance to bring about change, seize the moment and never look back. Again, words may seem powerless and just another boring mechanism, do not condemn it. Be knowledgeable enough to realize that a pen is always, ALWAYS mightier than a sword.

If freedom of speech is taken away, then dumb and silent we may be led, like sheep to the slaughter.
